We CAN Save Earth! -- BUT our options are changing..

Dear Fellow Earthlings,

In my previous 543 blog installments, I have been categorizing 13 themes contained within them

as follows:

        The AFRICAN ELEPHANT

          LANGUAGE MANAGEMENT

          PROTECTING NATURE

          EARTHSAVING

          Live and Let Live!

          SAVING JAPANESE

          The FALKLAND ISLANDS

          NEW TECHNOLOGIES

          SAVING LANGUAGES

          FRIENDS OF EARTH

          PERSONAL NOTES

          SAVING SENECA

          The JINGLES

But from now on, the list will change. "The FALKLAND ISLANDS", "LANGUAGE MANAGEMENT", SAVING JAPANESE", SAVING LANGUAGES, and "SAVING SENECA" will fall under the rubric of "PROTECTING CULTURES". This will call for me to expand the term to include geographical and social areas under the same category.

In addition, "The AFRICAN ELEPHANT" will be included in "PROTECTING NATURE" -- and one new topic will be added: SAVING The NORTHERN

SPOTTED OWL.

The array shown above will, from May 23, 2022, comprise not 13, but 9 themes:

          EARTHSAVING

          PERSONAL NOTES

          FRIENDS OF EARTH

          PROTECTING CULTURES

          The JINGLES

          PROTECTING NATURE

          Live and Let Live!

          SAVING The NORTHERN SPOTTED OWL

          NEW TECHNOLOGIES

Hopefully, this categorization change will be incorporated seamlessly!

The main reason why I decided to consolidate "The FALKLAND ISLANDS", "LANGUAGE MANAGEMENT", SAVING JAPANESE", SAVING LANGUAGES, and "SAVING SENECA" into one theme (PROTECTING CULTURES) is that all 5 of them deal with the efforts needed to keep them going in the face of all of the "global" pressures that are moving them all towards oblivion. Indeed, each of the five is in need of a proponent who is committed to that topic – and who has the ability to foster solutions for it!

I wish that some of my readers would step up to the tasks of becoming such proponents...
