Dear Fellow Earthlings,

This blog installment is a direct continuation of the April 12, 2025 blog:

"Trying to master the phonology of a particular dialect is daunting!"

Today we follow the progress of the client I wrote about last month (on April 12, 2025). Let's refer to her as "Ms. 585". Ms. 585 was having all sorts of difficulties working with a rather short Jingle known as "Day 92". I suggest that you look at Installment 585 for details about that…

At any rate, during the past 30 days Ms. 585 made a supreme effort -- and has wrangled a qualification out of her efforts. What she has been able to do with Jingle 92 is extraordinary. Not only did she finally break into a nice spontaneous England English sounding set of task dynamics. At the same time she actually polished her already beautiful American English allophonome as well!

Ms. 585  has gained a greater knowledge of not only the sounds, but also of the suprasegmental phenomena that both unite and divide American English and England English.

She has decided to become our newest Jingles instructor -- and a very fine one she will be indeed!. She is sensitive. She is compassionate. She is a hard worker, possesses a deep sense of empathy for others -- and knows how to arrange her priorities.

What a welcome infusion of new human talent  into "The Jingles family"!

Even as I (reluctantly) make places for AI to fit into our Jingles concepts, I hold steadfastly to the notion that humanity is what is really going to save us. However, it has to be a humanity comprising the good that is within ourselves, a force capable of dealing with any semblance of the bad that is always lurking in the shadows of our information systems.
