Dear Fellow Earthlings,

With this blog installment, during the past 2,350 days, I have now written 500 blogs. The

main theme is always saving Earth.

But why do I want to save Earth? As I see it, I want to save Earth because I love what she

brings to me on a daily basis.

Life is what it's all about -- and Earth's role in bringing about and supporting life is paramount.

My own life and that of my family and friends fall into the category "life forms of Earth"...

But so, too, do birds, bees, flowers, trees, algae, worms... -- in short, ALL life.

All of us living things need the right temperatures, access to water, non-toxic air, and sources of nutrition to live!

But what do we live for? And how do we children of Earth express ourselves??

To try and answer these two questions, I made it a point to spent a quiet day on my land (Reltonia) today. Reltonia is but a tiny portion of Earth -- but it teems with life, dreams, and FUN!

I found this out by "playing" a bit with the various species of mushrooms which were enjoying the fine weather on Reltonia today.

These mushrooms chose a wonderful time to make their appearance on my land: I DO BELIEVE they were especially eager to urge me on as I sought something novel to write about in my 500th blog installment.

To add to the magic of the moment (and to give my readers a better idea of the size of my mushroom friends) I added various toy animals (some of which I have owned for 60 years) and an ordinary coffee cup to the pictures accompanying this blog.

How I enjoy Earth! How I enjoy life!
