“April 22, 2019 Earth Day: The Bigger Picture”

Dear Fellow Earthlings,

Today is Earth Day. Every adult on Earth should be informed of this fact. Unless all human beings become aware of the necessity for everyone to contribute to easing the many problems Earth faces, our future looks bleak.

1. All talk of war must stop! We must solve our differences through dialogue,through negotiation.

2. Humans must manage their population. Where the median age is low, birth rates should be

lowered. Where it is higher, they should be increased

3. Borders should be respected. Large masses of people seeking to escape from places that are

dangerous, overcrowded, politically unstable, repressed, impoverished, and/or lacking

economic opportunity will only bring their woes to those nations whose borders they ignore.

4. Human technology must lead us away from the use of fossil fuels immediately. This will result

in less plastic and reduced air pollution.

5. Finally, let us be less grandiose! Change just for the sake of change or to justify a myriad of

idiosyncrasies we have can lead to unforeseen difficulties.

These are just a few concepts to consider on this Earth Day!
