The noose tightens further.

Dear Fellow Earthlings, On the 27th of April 1982 a contingent of Argentine military men arrived in the Falklands. These men appeared to be more well equipped and well trained than the bulk of the troops who had preceded them over the past three weeks. To me, this indicates that the Argentinian government was beginning to realize that the British Task Force would not be turning back and were not approaching the Falklands only to bluff. Full out war seemed to be a distinct possibility, Hence, this new contingent of fighting men had arrived to lead the fight to defend what Argentina's rulers believed to be Argentinian territory. Part and parcel of turning the Falklands into Argentina meant the imposition of martial "law". The military men who had arrived seemed more like police (as in "police state"). Immediately they began arresting local people for not carrying identification documents. In addition, these newcomers immediately imposed a 5 p.m - 7 a.m. curfew and ordered that all houses were to be blacked out completely. Where oh where were the British!
