Jingles Training: Your Pronunciation Development Workout!

Dear Fellow Earthlings, This installment is Part 2 of a two-installment blog. Part one was released yesterday. The dynamics which follow this, to put it "Ever" so "brIEflLIY" , "If" not "brAzenLlY" are IxtrIYmeLIY compLEx (using the 4 vowel gestures e, ey, I, iy under consideration). You see, whereas the Primary Synergy (S1) of English is in the region of the navel, that of Chinese is in the throat. Secondary Synergy (S2) also differs for these two languages. The English vowel gestures e, ey, I, iy are all S2 gestures. Although they might seem to the uninitiated to be the same sounds as the Chinese vowel gestures "ei" and "i", they are NOT -- although they could perhaps be described as analogous to "ei" and "i"... However, since the S1 foundations for English e, ey, I, iy and those for Chinese "ei" and "i" support the task dynamics of the two languages in very different fashions, the parameters that govern their productions differ markedly. Such dynamics are the case involving all 4 synergies of each human language spoken on our Earth. Jingles sessions are not spent lecturing clients on these rather involved notions. Instead, we Jingles instructors put our clients through their pronunciation workout paces and then prescribe appropriate homework. For Mr. Q I found it very effective to work with him on JINGLES G and H during the session -- while asking him to focus on the following Jingles as homework: A, G, H, Y. Why? 1. JINGLE A is the source Jingle for all the other Jingles, the prime device for developing English S1. 2. JINGLE G contains 2 e gestures, 0 ey gestures, 6 I gestures, 3 iy gestures. 3. JINGLE H contains 1 e gesture, 5 ey gestures, 5 I gestures, 2 iy gestures. 4. JINGLE Y contains 2 e gestures, 1 ey gesture, 4 I gestures,1 iy gesture. All Mr. Q has to do is practice his Jingles as assigned! The rest will take care of itself! Steve Walker Earthsaver and Jingles Creator
