Our catch phrase is on its way.
Dear Fellow Earthlings,
Da:h ne:’ wadi:wanye:döh (This blog) is a continuation of the story of Jaysëh. and his change of life styles, which started in Installment 266 on January 12, 2016 and continued in Installment 269 on January 25, 2016.
My Onö(n)dowa’ga:’ vocabulary has not increased very much during the interim between January 25th and today --but my knowledge of the situation in which the Seneca Nation finds itself HAS -- and it is from that perspective that I continue this story.
Outsiders have been brought in to reintroduce the Onö(n)dowa’ga:’ language to the children at the Faithkeeper school which Gajehsöh founded back in 197?. They are using the Montessori method. Further, there is a learned man named Brandon who is training parents how to speak Onö(n)dowa’ga:’ and to use it with their children.
I, Hadënöhšyö:nis am also part of all this, as I try to help develop Gaënö’, which are a “Jingles” system to help rebuild the rapidly weakening önë'dagö:h (Salamanca)/ Ga’däges (Cattaraugus) community allophonome.
Also, I continue to follow Jaysëh’s development as he loses weight, takes up dewa'ä:ö' (lacrosse) for the first time in years, learns Onö(n)dowa’ga:’, starts speaking Onö(n)dowa’ga:’ with his three children and his wife, and works to save Yöëdzade’(Earth).
This is all very exciting. Jaysëh is blossoming into a true warrior!
He has lost 15 kilos since going off the sugar, red meat, and processed food diet he used to follow. He has lost that weight in only 3 months’ time!
Jaysëh is showing us that people (onkwehonwe) can reduce their size. – and improve their health!! As a matter of course, these people then become more productive!
Jaysëh ni:’ eyatso:wi’. (I’m going to talk about Jaysëh’s wife too): She was already pretty slim – but she is making huge strides in improving the overall health of her husband, children, parents, siblings, and friends by urging them to eat right, sleep enough, and get plenty of exercise.
She is using her boundless energy to make her children study, work, play, rest, worship, and socialize.
I am thankful that things are looking up!!!
