Our catch phrase is on its way.
Dear Fellow Earthlings,
Three days ago, I got out of my car to explore a bit of Salem, Oregon. I had decided to go to a restaurant that I had been to before – but elected to choose a parking spot some 5 or 6 blocks from the restaurant, feeling that a small walk through the neighborhood would do me good by providing some exercise as well as helping me to learn more about that part of Salem.
This turned out to be a big mistake!
After discovering that the restaurant where I had hoped to have lunch was closed, I settled for some Chinese food at another restaurant just across the street.
After the meal, I walked back to where I had parked my beautiful 1990 red Ford Probe, a car I have owned for over 15 years, -- only to find it had been stolen.
This is the 3rd day since the shocking theft of my lovely little car occurred. The Salem, Oregon police are aware of the theft and, hopefully, will find the vehicle.
But I must not dwell on this! Life must go on! Earth must be saved! May the ones who stole my vehicle have a change of heart and return it to me intact!
Now, even more deeply than ever, I urge all of us humans to live and let live! There is no way to save Earth if selfishness and destruction prevail over empathy and preservation!
