Our catch phrase is on its way.

Dear Fellow Earthlings,

Yesterday I visited the Ueno Zoo in Tokyo, hoping to see some African elephants.. Well, it seems they have none – although they do have some Indian elephants. So I had to content myself looking at colobus monkeys, a giant panda, a galapagos tortoise, and various other creatures.

The highlight of the day was watching a zookeeper interact with a black rhinoceros. I was moved to see the rhinoceros approach the keeper to have its horns and snout petted. I felt great compassion for this creature, who represented both the power and vulnerability of our dwindling animal cohabitants on Earth.

Humans have got to stop their unbridled population explosion. If they do not, then there will be less and less space available for any other living things on this planet.

We are NOT doing well in terms of keeping our Earth healthy.
