Our catch phrase is on its way.
Dear Fellow Earthlings,
Some of my clients (See yesterday’s blog as an example.) succeed in developing only after trial and tribulation. But if they can just hang on, stick to “The Jingles Method”, and trust me, my staff, and themselves, sooner or later they are going to achieve either nativelike mastery of English pronunciation or something very close to it.
A case in point is “Kenji”, who has been battling his way through Jingles training for close to two years, raising his level in the process from 84.6 to his present 88.20 on “The Jingles” themselves and 87.9 for his spoken everyday English in general.
Yesterday, as number three Jingler in the world Takahiro Takeuchi team taught with me, Kenji was able to make a quantum leap in his application of Primary Synergy (See Installment 208 – and its list of other installments where you can learn about Primary Synergy (S1).
This was accomplished when I explained to him how, although his S1 emanates from the region of his navel (as it should for England-based English), the width of his “emanation field” is inadequate, forcing other parts of his body to work trying to make up for that shortfall – and resulting in labored, extremely un-nativelike, hard-to-project English sound production.
Whereas Kenji's source of his S1 has been in the proper place for quite some time now, his emanation was not properly directed, resulting in little pops and fizzles that indicate short circuiting. But after today's quantum leap, his “emanation field” is wide, fostering the support of Kenji’s entire English allophonome – and the short circuiting has disappeared.
Such quantum improvement as Kenji made yesterday does not happen with most clients -- and is very rare. Last year there were only two cases that I recorded – and Kenji’s is the first case this year. In just one 45-minute session, things “clicked”, as all of his previous training and at-home practice came together. In those 45 minutes his S1 surged upward from 2.5 to 3.2 (with 3.5 being native level primary synergy).
