Our catch phrase is on its way.
Dear Fellow Earthlings,
Do you know who Elon Musk is? He is the founder of the companies SpaceX and Tesla Motors – and the co-founder of PayPal. You can check out more about him on the internet. Anyway, I have sent the following ideas of mine to Elon before he moves too far along in his project of building a high speed transportation system called the hyperloop. The hyperloop can help save the Earth! To me, the greatest benefits from the hyperloop would be that its fuel costs would be much lower than those of other means of transportation, the system would ease traffic congestion, it would be fast, and it would pollute only in the sense that it would take up space on our Earth. My letter begins here and continues in installments 104 through 106, inclusive.
Hi Elon! Steve Walker, at your service! My chief occupation is that of architectural linguist: I help people develop the pronunciation system or systems they wish to use when they are speaking. Some people might call my profession “speech therapy” or “foreign accent reduction” – but my system (“The Jingles” – See http://info@thejingles-summit.co.jp .) goes beyond that. Self-introduction done, I have ideas for your hyperloop. Actually, I have had them in mind for 40 years. Here goes: 1) Place the capsules in tubes crafted at least partially with all of the plastic junk floating around in our oceans (notably the two huge floating “islands” of plastic, each covering an area greater than that of California, one of which is a bit east of Japan, the other a bit north of Hawaii…). 2) Use geothermal vents, solar, wind, tidal energy to send capsules along in these tubes. 3) And let’s go for payload, comfort, and distance from the outset! To my blog readers: This letter continues for the next three blogs!
