Our catch phrase is on its way.

Dear Fellow Earthlings,

I am now deep in the midst of analyzing the Falkland Islands English sound bytes I have gathered. As I go through the data, I will extrapolate and use my own voice as well as the voice or voices of my staff members to create additional jingles. This is because I was unable to find enough native language informants to provide me with specific voices for each of the 366 jingles I will be producing. There is no problem finding a male voice – I will simply use my own. But for the female voices, I will have to use the voices of some of the female Jingles instructors who work with me. I am quite confident that one or two or even three of them will be able to produce some nice renditions of Falkland Islands’ English. After all, this is what jingling is all about: Having people gain the ability to produce utterances with pronunciation identical to that of native speakers of the target language. At present I am matching up the informants’ renditions, male and female, with each other. Many of them will need tiny bits of editing to eliminate background noise, pauses due to nervousness, and the like. None of this is new territory for me. I can do it. Producing nice jingles similar to the 366 I have already produced for my “English Pronunciation Therapy” application is not particularly easy to do, but it will be done!
