Our catch phrase is on its way.

Dear Fellow Earthlings,

(This blog was compiled in the Falklands on 16 August 2013 local time.)

This morning at 6:30 a.m. I set out on foot for Lafone House. The stars were still out when I departed. I walked along Ross Street and then turned left onto Philomel Street and made my daily ciimb in the gathering morning light. Reaching the Stanley By-Pass I then headed south toward Stanley Airport. When I got to Lellman Way, I then headed east -- and downhill till I got to Lafone House. Monica was there and served me a nice breakfast. I told her of some of the things I had done while in the Falklands and had voiced my appreciation for this lovely little country. Then, with a hug, I told her that someday I do hope to come back to the Falklands. Leaving Lafone House, I walked back (this time, straight along Ross Street) to the Malvina House Hotel. All day I enjoyed my sunny room and used it to advantage by working on various Jingles projects. I felt no need to venture further into Stanley since I felt doing so would just make me feel too many longings for not being able to remain here. In the afternoon Liz Roberts from FITV called on me and we talked in the bar as Ray Williams (a gentleman from St. Helena) served us. Liz and I enjoyed nice conversation. Her son Kieran (who just turned 16) and I have been playing basketball together these past few weeks! What a surprise that was to me. By the way, it was Liz’ lovely voice that announced my flight data over the radio back on August 5th. Well, tomorrow I head back for the United States. I will miss the Falkland Islands.
