Our catch phrase is on its way.

Dear Fellow Earthlings,

(This blog was compiled in the Falklands on 15 August 2013 local time.)

This morning I walked up the Philomel Street hill with relative ease. Yes sir, daily exercise really helps! When I got to the top of the climb I stood next to the Stanley By-Pass and took a photo of the beautiful mountains to the west. After I walked back down the hill (again using Philomel Street), I took a picture of one of the quaint red phone booths located here and there in town. They look quaint, but they work (using either coins or cards). I was interviewed by a man named Stacy Bragger from the Falkland Islands Radio Station today. My voice will be heard on Falkland Islands Radio next week – after I have already left the Falkland Islands. I talked to Stacy about why I came here. I also gave him a few of my impressions of my stay here. After my recording session I had Stacy act as a native speaker informant for me. He provided me with a wealth of sound bytes data. Tonight I enjoyed another wonderful meal prepared by 5-star chef Matt Clarke. The main course was a delicious slow braised shoulder of lamb with a side dish of broccoli in garlic sauce. But what really pleased me was the appetiser: locally harvested snow crab and king scallop ravioli (with white wine and fresh herb cream). I plan to have that appetiser one more time tomorrow evening, my last night in the Falklands.
