Our catch phrase is on its way.
Dear Fellow Earthlings,
It is tricky mentioning the date and time when you are sending out blogs to people all over the world. For example, as I type out this blog, it is 9:10 p.m. on Thursday, July 25th in the Falkland Islands. But in Japan (where the bulk of my readers live), it is 9:10 a.m. on Friday, July 26th. So it becomes very confusing for me to describe what I am doing in the Falklands in an accurate manner when it comes to the date and time. I am just ending my Thursday here in the Falklands. It has been a productive day in that I confirmed two appointments for tomorrow (Friday). Each of those appointments will, hopefully, lead me closer to being able to gather the sound bytes I need in order to make the Falkland Islands Jingles. I have decided to report everything after the fact, for there is no way I can do it simultaneously due to the 12-hour time difference between the Falklands and Japan. And of course, reporting things before they actually occur would be presumptuous, misleading, and dishonest! By the way, just before sundown today (Thursday, the 25th) I took a walk and endured powerful, chilling winds that stunned me with their ferocity. I cut short my walk, but was able to photograph the sunset.
