Our catch phrase is on its way.

Dear Fellow Earthlings,

Continuing from yesterday’s blog, in which I listed two reasons why I decided to go to the Falklands, I now present three additional reasons for my trip to that remote country.

Reason three is my desire to know what the natural environment in and around the Falklands is like. Such questions as where and how the Falklanders dispose of their trash, for example, intrigue me. Also, I wonder how many of the land mines left behind by the Argentines more than three decades ago still need to be disposed of. Reason four for my going to the Falklands is to have myself some fun: I want to check out the pubs, visit the school attended by the children of Stanley, visit the very sparsely populated western island, and see how the night sky looks in winter, among other things. Finally, there is reason number five. During my final two or three days there, I wish to give the Falkland people impressions of what I have seen there and to make suggestions for them to consider as they seek to gain a more secure place among the nations on this world, our planet Earth. I just wonder what I am going to have to say to them??

We shall just have to wait and see.
