Our catch phrase is on its way.
Dear Fellow Earthlings,
This morning I have composed an explanation of why I am going to the Falklands. There are numerous reasons why I am going, but I have summarized them into five reasons, two of which I describe here and three of which I will describe in tomorrow’s blog. My primary reason for going to the Falklands is to pay my respects to those who perished in the 1982 Falklands War between Argentina and Great Britain. Almost 1,000 human beings lost their lives in the conflict. I wish to visit the graves of those who died in the war. Also, I hope to have the opportunity to honor those who were injured in that conflict. The second reason why I wish to go to the Falklands is to help the people of the Falklands to develop a set of jingles which characterizes the speech motor skills employment techniques they use when they speak their particular dialect of English. To this end, I will be asking for the help of Falklanders who have been born and raised in the Falklands to serve as native speaker language informants so that I can gather the data I need to complete this jingles project. Over the past few weeks I have prepared the paperwork these informants and I will use as we work together. Tomorrow I describe three other reasons why I decided to make this trip to the Falklands.
