Our catch phrase is on its way.

Dear Fellow Earthlings,

This morning I packed up my things (including some winter clothing) and took a taxi and then a shuttle bus to Portland International Airport in Portland, Oregon. At the airport I exchanged $1794.72 for 1,045 United Kingdom pounds. Altogether I will be taking 1,545 pounds to the Falklands with me, for I already had 500 pounds on hand. That done, I took a hotel shuttle bus to the Airport Sheraton Hotel, located less than a mile from the airport. I have been a guest at that hotel countless times over the past 30 years. I had an early dinner (at 3:30 p.m. since I know I will be getting up at 2:00 a.m. or so tomorrow morning to go to the airport). I was touched when 3 staff members came by a little later and gave me some “amenities”: peanuts, fruit, soft drinks, and some chocolate cookies. I talked with my Jingles colleagues (They are in Japan.) by skype and then went to bed at 7:30 p.m. for I knew I would have to get up at 2:30 a.m. in order to catch the first leg of my flight to the Falkland Islands. Good night.
