Our catch phrase is on its way.

Dear Fellow Earthlings,

Even things set in stone eventually crumble – and both languages and life forms gradually change, evolve, and then (as far as I know) finally go extinct. The planet Earth too, shall someday end, its existence probably snuffed out when our Sun, in its own last throes, swells and swallows up the Earth (Note that here, I use “the” in front of “Earth” since I am referring not to its surface and atmosphere -- along with its life forms -- but to its fiery core and all of the materials that surround that core.). Is there anything that never changes? Love is a concept that resists extinction. Is not true love something that lasts forever? I recall how some of my Jingles clients actually got depressed (One of them even cried.) when they learned that Jingles D and I (See Installment 39.) had changed. By the way, the one that cried eventually grew accustomed to the revised versions of Jingles D and I – and is now a Jingles instructor! Here, change -- although it hurt a bit for some people – ended up being change for the better. Change for the sake of change is the third type of change. Such change is motivated by many things, such as to escape boredom, to earn money, to gain power, to destroy something that one does not like, to create a situation that an individual or group wishes to be created…This third type of change has the potential to hurt as well as to help… To sum it up, while most change seems inevitable, there are two other types of change: One is change for the better – and the other is change for the sake of change. More on change for the sake of change tomorrow.
