Our catch phrase is on its way.
Dear Fellow Earthlings,
I just adore kind people! Recently a friend of mine related how her sister, needing some extra money, took on a part-time job. As a result of time limitations due to the working schedule of her job, she had to get up extra early in order to prepare a box lunch for her five-year-old daughter Mari, who would be in kindergarten while her mother (Let’s call her Megumi.) was at work. Furthermore, she had to rush about getting other things done before leaving for work. All of this confused little Mari and, as a result, Mari began to stutter. After about three weeks, Megumi realized that Mari was being stressed by the rushed lifestyle. Previously Megumi and Mari had been able to enjoy leisurely mornings together, but now everything was hectic – and Mari was clearly suffering from it. Megumi quit her job, realizing that the money she was getting from it was not worth the pain that Mari was suffering. Now Megumi continues to be careful about her finances, but – more importantly – she gives Mari the precious time she needs in the mornings with her “Mommy”. And Mari’s stuttering has disappeared. Good mothers are one of the most precious things we have!
