Our catch phrase is on its way.
Dear Fellow Earthlings,
Saving Earth is no easy task! One of the biggest stumbling blocks is my inability to get good channels of communication set up. For example, I am absolutely positive that I can develop a set of Seneca Jingles – but to do that I have to get in contact with as many of the remaining 100 native speakers of Seneca as fast as possible. With all due respect to the aged, I must begin analyzing their Seneca phonomes while they are still reasonably young. If not, then the template for the Seneca Jingles will have to be developed from the elderly. And just as the elderly cannot run 100 meters as quickly as, say, someone of 21 or 25 years of age can, so too can they not quite match younger folks in the speech motor skills employment techniques of their native language. And an even sadder thing to think about is that if this project can’t get off the ground within a few years, then it could be that I would be working with a pool of “75 native speakers, none of them younger than 55 or 60”... I will continue to do my best to try and contact some people who can pull a few strings and help me get this project going!
