Our catch phrase is on its way.

Dear Fellow Earthlings,

William Shatner, my hero of the “Star Trek” TV series that was so popular in the late 1960s was right on the mark when he advised Star Trek fans overly wrapped up in Star Trek trivia to “get a life”. To show all of you that I (in bold letters) have a life (besides just Earthsaving and Jingling), let me chronicle my day to you! I got up at 6:00 a.m. (typical for me) and I walked to the school where I serve as the director. Of course, no one else was there at that early hour. I then worked on a very big project that is currently underway: writing a manual for the instructors who teach “Jingles” at my school in Yokohama, Japan. At 8:00 a.m. I had some breakfast at a coffee shop and then went to a hospital in Yokosuka, Japan for a check up which was a follow-up to a medical procedure I had this past February to correct atrial fibrillation. The doctor was happy to tell me that the atrial fibrillation is gone and that I can now go off of most of my medications. I felt so revitalized and, well, just “plain happy” to learn that I am recuperating from that procedure. It was a pleasure to spend all this afternoon and the early part of the evening working with my staff at my school. Then, this evening, I just relaxed at home with my wife. Yes, I’ve got a life! And it’s a wonderful life!
